UTU Political Action Committee...
Gives You A Voice In Washington D.C. And In Your State Capital
UTU members,
active and retired, need and deserve good government. That's because
- more than any other occupation - our work life, working conditions,
pensions and earning power are more directly affected by the actions
of State and Federal lawmakers.
UTU members
must support and help those people we feel are capable, knowledgeable,
and who recognize the issues that affect railroad, bus and transit
workers. The best way to help elect representatives who understand
the concerns of UTU members is by contributing to UTU PAC. UTU PAC gives
you a voice in the matters that affect your finances and your
family.
UTU PAC is a
voluntary political action committee that assists legislators
who recognize the needs and problems affecting transportation
workers. Candidates from both parties receive the UTU PAC assistance
on the basis of their past record and positions on issues vital
to UTU members.
UTU PAC contributions can be started or increased anytime, and
can be deducted automatically from your paycheck.
UTU PAC contributes to qualified state and national political candidates,
regardless of party affiliation.
UTU PAC protects the interests of active and retired members and
safeguards laws, working conditions and pension rights.
